This weekend I went to my cousin's house to have dinner with her and her husband. When I arrived, I glanced in the living room and thought I saw a Christmas tree. Um..... this was Halloween week. Upon further inspection I realized the tree was actually purple with orange and purple decor and a witches hat on top where normally a Christmas tree would have a start or angel.
How adorable! I would never have thought to decorate a tree for anything other than Christmas. The tree itself, though, is only a tree. Its how you decorate it that symbolizes what holiday you are celebrating.
Aren't we as people the same? We are born all very similar. We all have a body, a brain, a functioning system to keep us alive. Its what we choose do to with our lives and how we "decorate" ourselves (present ourselves physically) that shows who we really are and want to be seen as.
I think many times we get stuck feeling like cattle or sheep in a flock and forget that we can be different and present ourselves any way we want.
