What makes honey so nice and sweet? Well, the short answer is that bees gather the sweet nectar produced by plants and then they transform that nectar into that golden, sweet liquid we love.

You can buy honey which, by the way, may have different tastes depending on which plants produced the nectar. But for some reason, when you get the honey directly from the honeycomb it tastes so much purer and sweeter.

I remember staying at a hotel in Europe and for breakfast, on the serving table, there was a whole honeycomb which one could cut and put on a small dish and take to the table to spread on bread or put on a hot drink, or simply put it directly in your mouth. It was wonderful!

"My son, eat honey because it is good, And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste" Proverbs 24:13 (NKJV)

Perhaps because bees produce honey in a colony it serves as a good illustration of the sweetness of a home that works in communion. Enjoy the sweetness of honey and home.
