Good morning world! How are you? Today is August 17, 2021 and you have made it to see another day. August is almost over and that means cooler weather is on the horizon. Just yesterday, the morning temperature was cool enough for me to bake and cook a few meals for the week. Also, I spent the last few days going through SD cards. reviewing, labeling and writing down the contents of the card. I figure this will keep me plenty busy during the afternoon heat and keep my mornings open for exercise, cooking and gardening. So far I have reviewed six cards. Below is a sample of some of the photos that are one the cards.
One of the cards that I pulled was from a month before the pandemic hit and live entertainment was halted. This card had lots of gems, like photos and video from our trip to Laughlin. There was also lots of the band Ghosts of Kelso.
My cameras are with me 80 percent of the time. Often, I feel like that odd family member back in the 70s that always had a camera or super 8 showing old film footage or pictures of family events and such. Really though, I like reliving captured moments from time to time, like this one special night Hubby and I had before the pandemic. I had reached out to Christian Simmons of the band CJ Simmons and asked if it would be okay to take photos and video. He messaged me before their show and said, "Sure." So, the night that they played I walked confidently into the Lit Lounge with both of cameras.
That night I got to shot photos and video from the second floor and in one of my favorite spots in that whole place. There is less ambient noise or people to block shots.
The nice thing that happened was that I got to speak with Christian and Julie for a brief moment and hubby snapped a photo of us. It was the best. Usually, I am camera shy but feigned bravery and posed for a shot. However, that photo is on another card and I am sure that I will get to it soon.
In just two short days, Hubby and I will be traveling to Los Angeles to see the Black Crowes in concert at the Forum! I can't wait! Also, on the horizon is another favorite of mine, (breath in...breath out...breath in) Miranda Lambert is playing in Coachella, California at the Spotlight 29 Casino in their newest outdoor event area! (All said in one breath,) Oh my goodness! I am so excited and can't wait. I am still debating on floor tickets or seats but I am sure that it will be a great show where ever I am.
This was one of my favorite shots from that concert.
To you dear reader, where ever in the world you may be, may today be peaceful or if it is not, may it be loud with things that excite you or make you feel compassion for your neighbors on this planet we call Earth. Hugs to you and you and especially YOU!
