In June 2018, 18-year-old Jordan Corter was arrested on attempted rape and sexual battery charges after he attacked a friend's mother during a sleepover. That woman fought back, pulling a gun to scare the boy away.
A Knock on the Door
The incident occurred in Arlington, Tennessee when Corter stayed the night with a friend. Before going to bed, the victim gathered any alcohol in the home and locked it safely in her room. That is important when teens are in the home, after all.
At 2:30 a.m., the woman was woken by knocking on her bedroom door. The woman opened her door and saw Corter standing on the other side. He forced his way into the bedroom and threw her onto the bed. He then put his hands into her pajama pants.
Woman Fights Back
The woman fought back, kneeing Corter in the groin before she pulled out a gun. She pointed the gun at Corter's head and told him to leave. The woman then called 911.
Police found the victim with a black eye. However, she told police she hit herself during the struggle with Corter and blacked her own eye.
Corter Cries When Police Arrest Him
When the police went to Corter's house to arrest him, he began crying and told the officer that he should not be forgiven for what he did.
On his Facebook page at the time of the incident, Corter listed that he was in a relationship. He also listed the "Bible" as one of his favorite books. Corter's grandfather told reporters after his grandson's arrest that he was a "good kid."
At the police station, Corter admitted that he forced the woman to do things that she didn't want to do.
What Happened in This Case?
Corter's name does not appear in a State of Tennessee Felony Offender Information Lookup search. Therefore, he likely received a plea deal reducing the charges to misdemeanor offenses or the charges was dismissed altogether. Let's hope this incident taught him a lesson, whatever the outcome
OTHER NEWS IN TENNESSEE…
In April 2018, 18-year-old Noah Freeman was sentenced to 50-years in prison for the brutal rape and assault of a counselor back in 2016. The Memphis teen was convicted of four counts each of aggravated rape, attempted second-degree rape, and aggravated assault.
Freeman, who was 16 at the time of the brutal attack, was currently in state custody for the violent rape of a 6-year-old girl. He tied that girl to a tree.
On the day of the attack, Freeman held a pen to her throat and threatened to kill her if she did not cooperate. Freeman punched her several times, choked her with the strings of her hooded sweatshirt, and then pulled down her pants and forced an aerosol can into her vagina. He then forced the counselor to perform oral sex on him several times. The counselor was finally able to escape the attack.
On June 21, 2021, former Benton County pastor Josh Henley was charged with multiple counts of statutory rape.
