After catching some images of the Monarch on the 2nd, I walked to the back garden where we had planted some Purple Coneflowers (non-native to our area) with the hopes that it would attract butterflies. It already produced some nice shots of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtails and on this day another cutie showed up for a few poses.
Clouded Sulphur-Colias philodice Look at those green eyes!
The coneflower is looking a bit peaked but the butterfly looks fresh and lovely.
Keeping with the plan.
And a parting shot from a fun shoot.
