Despite all the rain we've had this summer, yesterday was the first time this year that I stopped at a brook and shot some water. Guess I've been to busy bugging.
This spot was one of, if not the first, locations I visited when I started photographing water in motion a long while back.

Hop Brook in Holland Glen, Belchertown, MA
I've shot this little series of cascades many times. I was on my way elsewhere and happened to drive by and that dim little appliance bulb that lights my imagination told me to stop. The light wasn't that great but the sound of the water was wonderful.
The New England Trail, aka Monadnock Metacomet Trail for years, passes by here and is managed by the Appalachian Mountain Club.
Our weather has finally moderated and I am going to take advantage while I can. Lots of wood to split for this winter's heat, lawn to mow, back steps to alter. and a bunch of other back burner stuff. Maybe photograph a bug or two when the opportunity arises.
