Last night I had a plan to split time between my daughters game and the Aviators game. A lightning delay basically meant that I probably would miss the Aviators entirely. After my little one was done playing I checked the score and the Aviators were in the 9th inning. I started driving to the stadium expecting to have to turn around at any point. The fly boys tied the game in the ninth and had a chance to win it. They did not though so I kept driving to the stadium. I walked into Loeb Stadium in the top of the tenth just in time to see the extra innings runner for the opponent score. That was all of the damage that Chillicothe was able to do though and the Aviators had their turn. With two outs the Aviators had the bases loaded and just needed a hit for some opening day magic. They got that hit and the walk off fun would begin. This is two straight years getting an opening night walk off for the Aviators. It is a great way for this team to start bonding.
More Photos From The Game
As I said above I was only at the game for the extra inning. Tonight I hope to be at much more than that. The walk off celebrations are getting harder to cover as I am trying to run with players that are half as young as me. I somehow was near it though out in left field. Here are a few bonus photos for you to look at as I ice my knees a bit.
