Last night I had another softball game that prevented me from seeing the beginning of the Lafayette Aviators game. This time I was able to get there by the start of the 7th inning stretch so I made a little better time. I have only seen a few innings of this team so far, but they have a little swagger from what I can see. In 2021 that team had a bit of swagger as well and they were very fun to watch. So far I have photographed two victory celebrations in two games so things are looking good from the start.
A Familiar Face
In the 8th inning I bumped into a familiar face in the Terre Haute dugout. Justin Bogard played for the Aviators last season. In addition to being a good baseball player he also knew his way around the camera. It was good to see him again, but he can save his home runs for his games against other teams. His ninth inning blast last night did not end up costing the Aviators, but it did make things interesting. Part of the fun of doing what I do is watching these young men and women grow and go on to great things. Justin is one that will be fun to follow. With a busy day and a softball game before this game I didn't have time to scout the other teams roster prior to heading to the stadium. It was a nice surprise to see a familiar face in the opposing dugout.

Here are a few bonus photos from the game last night.
