Emma Roberts New Project

I have been a fan of Emma Roberts' since she turned up on my screen in Wild Child. I have followed her work since. Her new project is with the amazing Tom Ellis from Lucifer. It is called Second Wife and is with Hulu. They have picked it up after they renewed Tell Me Lies for a second season which is produced by Meaghan Oppenheimer, who is producing this project too. The story follows two people who fall head over heels for each other and get married without realising they know very little about each other.

My French Film Festival

I love film festivals, so when the BFI emailed me about My French Film Festival, I just had to spread the word. This festival is running from January 13 to February 13 worldwide. It is all online and you register on the website and then you can rent either individual films or 30 day all access pass for €7.99. They have partnered with AppleTV+, Prime Video, Mubi, BFI Player and Google Play where you are able to watch and rent them also.

Major Crimes Books Series has been Extended

The fantastic Sam Holland has now extended her contract with HarperFiction which means, we get two more books in the Major Crimes series. The first The Echo Man was a gripping read and the next in the series; The Twenty due to come out on 11 May this year with an ominous cover with the third and fourth following yearly.

Orbit Snaps Up New Series from Sarah Rees Brennan

I am super excited to see Orbit picking up a new fantasy series from Sarah Rees Brennan. I have loved her books ever since I picked up her Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series which is one of my favourite TV shows and I was ecstatic it was turned into a book. Her new series focuses on villains and it follows a young woman who turns up in her favourite fantasy novel but how will she get out of it? It is called Long Live Evil and hopefully these three books they have acquired will be in the series.

A New Murder Mystery Team is Hitting the Shelves

I love a good murder mystery and this particular one has me exciting beyond belief. It is called The Expectant Detectives and is by Kat Ailes. It follows a group of pregnant women who are at their antenatal class and murder occurs. Why of course they have to investigate! With the success of Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club this is sure to be a success. As the bookseller states 'The publisher describes The Expectant Detectives as "Motherland" meets "Midsomer Murders"' which to me is pure perfection. It is due June 2023 although the day is to be confirmed!
