Other than my impression and similar responses for many people, I have no data to say this fall is more beautiful / colorful than many ... but I really think it is. This blog is more photographs of fall colors.
Trees in Greendale from 400 feet above my home.
This is Westway, a street in Greendale. It's always beautiful in the Fall and this year is no exception.
Birches in the Wehr Nature Center in the morning sun.
This is a photograph of the prairie/savanna area of the Indian Community School near Milwaukee.
Woods of the Wehr Nature Center.
The island on Wind Lake.
On the Whitnall Park golf course.
A really red tree.
Prairie grass in the Wehr Nature Center. As tall as I am and in the wind it waves like the long waves of water in the sea.
A neat old oak tree transitioning to fall.
This is Big Muskego Lake or perhaps more realistically ... marsh. The wetlands grass has turned to tan, but the striking part is the bright blue of the water.
This final photograph is not specifically fall colors but rather one of the last of the bugs. This is one of the varieties of assassin bugs waiting for prey. There is another one on top of the blossoms.
