Taxonomy: Fam. Malvaceae// Genus: Tilia// Species: Tilia tomentosa Moench. The classification is given according to The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Raab-Straube, 2017+).

Determined according to the botanical key provided in The Flora of the Republic of Macedonia (Micevski, 1998).

Lifeform: Perennial, tree up to c. 30 m; Mesophanerophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to the Baltic states, from Central and Southeast Europe to Ukraine and Turkey according to the distribution information provided by The Euro+Med PlantBase (source: Raab-Straube, 2017+).

Habitat: Thermophilus sites in the zone of oak forests.

Flowering period: Summer: JUN, JUL.
