Plugging my phone in to charge, I text Hitch to meet me outside Underland around midnight and tell him why. He's the only one I know who can make a fake passport. I still can't believe I took Taelor's money and hid her purse. But like Dad said, we'll do whatever it takes to get Alison home.

School Freebie
Since the new school year is starting in many parts of the world, this week is our choice of topic, as long as it has to do with the school theme. I am choosing to list my favorite books that take place in a school, or that a school is where a large part of the action goes down. Since I read a lot of YA, this is fairly easy. Here we go!
- Looking for Alaska by John Green - The events of this novel occur almost entirely within Culver Creek Boarding School in Alabama. Yes, a lot of these will be boarding schools, but that's why it's fun. I think most kids have a secret dream to be sent to a boarding school to get up to some shenanigans.
- Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro - The students at Hailsham very rarely leave the school at all. It's a bit of an unconventional school, in more ways than one, with lots of secrets. Still one of my all-time favorite books and reveals.
- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins - An adorable rom-com of a book that happens to be centered in the School of America in Paris. It's a stupid name for a school, but I also would have loved to go there when I was a teenager.
- Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins - Another boarding school, this time with magic! Hex Hall is home to witches, faeries, and shapeshifters and, of course, lots of drama. And secrets. And spells.
- The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson - Yet another boarding school. I told you this would be the case! This time we are at Wexford, a boarding school in London, where there are some really spooky murders happening.
- Comes the Night by Norah Wilson and Heather Doherty - One of my favorite series that few people seem to know about. This one takes place at Streep Academy where three misfits form an unusual bond over some mystical happenings.
- The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky - Here's one that does not take place at a boarding school, but Mill Grove High School is where Charlie meets his first friends.
- Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep - And we're right back to magical boarding schools! This time, we stop by Mythos Academy, where all of the people you learned about in mythology are actually real, including Spartans, Valkyries, Amazons and others.
- The Magicians by Lev Grossman - I wasn't a huge fan of this book (the rest of the series was good though), but I did thoroughly enjoy the idea of Brakebills College for Magical Pedagogy. A college this time, instead of a high school!
- Devilish by Maureen Johnson - Throwing another Maureen Johnson book on here because I love her. This time, we are at St. Teresa's Preparatory School for Girls and someone might have sold their soul to the devil. Maybe. It happens.
