I am happy to see people who gave their lives for the people. You can see them in history books, and even in the news. They are heroes.
I remember the time when I read our own history from cover to cover. We enjoy our freedom because of those heroes who fought many battles, and won! They persevered violence from their enemies, even though they don't have weapons. They were undeducated but fearless.
It is God who gave us victory, not ourselves. We trusted God, and we were not disgraced. God fought even we were singing songs. It is a battle song for our children's children.
They were selfless because God is selfless. Jesus came as a human being and sacrificed himself to bring many to forgiveness and salvation. He is my hero.
We can be heroes ourselves, if we give more than we can get. We love God for He is our Lamb. The blood He shed for our cleansing. His sacrifice should not be in vain, so we also give ourselves to God and others. Praise God!
