Now is the time to focus on what you want regardless of its merit. Do it without thinking about the perception of others, as your action is for your benefit. Let their judgements be on them for this life is too short to live under the pressure of acceptance.
Instead, we should learn to indulge in our whims and fancies whenever we want.
That last piece of cookie? Have it.
Another episode on Netflix? Carry on.
Third snooze on the alarm? Press it.
Kids awake past bedtime? Let them.
A nap at 10 am? Feel free.
The last cup of coffee at midnight? Why not.
Not wanting to answer the calls? So be it.
The bottom line is you are a normal human being with your own struggles and challenges to bear. It is your right to behave in whatever ways that work for you. And it is unhealthy to pretend to be okay when you are not. Yes, it is okay not to be okay.
Start listening to yourself more. Do what pleases you and not what is expected of you. Only then you will be free.
Acceptance is observation of life and suspension of judgement about whether what is happening is good or bad, right or wrong.
