Teaser Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Here are the rules if you want to play along:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's teaser comes from Legendary by Stephanie Garber, book #2 in the Caraval series.
Tella wanted to fall back asleep the instant she woke up, if this stifling form of consciousness could actually be considered wakefulness. Her eyes would not open. Her lips would not move. But she could feel the pain, searing so sharply. Her entire world was formed of injured bones and sliced skin, punctuated by fragments of sounds and wayward words, as if her hearing couldn't decide whether or not it wanted to work.
Yeah, Tella has it rough in this book. I have no idea how she's going to get out of the situation she's in, and not just these injuries.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is:.
Top Ten Books on my Summer TBR
To be honest, I am still in denial that it is summer already. This year is already halfway gone - how did that happen! I'm not usually one to specific TBR lists, especially not by season, but I do have at least a few ideas of what I want to accomplish in the near future, so I will start there.
- Finale by Stephanie Garber - This one is a given. I have got to finish this series!!
- Harvest Hunting by Yasmine Galenorn
- Blood Wyne by Yasmine Galenorn
- Courting Darkness by Yasmine Galenorn - These are the next three books in the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series and I really do want to keep making progress with that one.
- Still Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton - I just got this book a little while ago and, while I don't always read biographies, I absolutely love Wil and can't wait to read his book.
- The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima
- The Exiled Queen by Cinda Williams Chima
- The Gray Wolf Throne by Cinda Williams Chima
- The Crimson Crown by Cinda Williams Chima - Once I finish the Caraval series, it's time to jump into another series on my "Complete the Series" challenge. I think I will dive into the Seven Realms series. I've read The Demon King before but none of the rest.
- Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare - The next series on my list, after I finish Seven Realms, will be the Dark Artifices trilogy. I know I've read Lady Midnight before, but it was several years ago, probably right when it first came out, and I don't remember much. I love the other Shadowhunters series though so I'm sure this one will also be excellent.
A bit lofty, but I think I can do it. Eventually, I might go back to reading more than one or two books at a time - I used to have four or five going all at once - but I don't think my brain can handle it right now. Probably means that I will read fewer books total in the long run, but that's okay.
Please leave your teasers and top tens in comments!
