"The poetry of the eminent Orkney writer George Mackay Brown, who died last year, will long remain in the hearts of his readers around the world. Today, for Christmas, we print two previously unpublished GMB poems which capture the atmosphere of the festive period."
The two poems are "The Kirk in Orphir" and "Travellers"; both had in fact been published earlier in the Scotsman, 31 December 1986.
