Trees come in many sizes, colors, and shapes. Some of them produce wonderful and delicious fruit like apples, pears, bananas, or coconuts. Most trees provide shade during hot, sunny days. Some trees give up a fresh aroma, like the eucalyptus, lilac, or wisteria. Some trees are always nice and green, like the pine trees, while others lose their leaves in Autumn, but not before they paint the landscape with the most beautiful, radiant colors.

I like how trees wave in the summer breeze and sing a soft, relaxing song, inviting you to rest. The psalmist wrote about the people that follow God, "They are like trees growing beside a stream, trees that produce fruit in season and always have leaves." Psalm 1:3 (CEV)

Just think for a moment: as a disciple of Jesus you are like a sweet smelling tree that gives shade to those suffering during heated moments of their life and you can produce good fruit for others to enjoy. May you be a strong and beautiful tree in God's garden.
