I often think about Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone from Game of Thrones. He has been widely loved by nobles and commoners alike. Many believed that he would have been a far better king than his father or grandfather. Sadly, Rhaegar never got the chance to be king since he was killed by Robert Baratheon in the Battle of the Trident.

I often wonder how Rhaegar would have been if he became king. How would he rule? How would his personality change throughout his reign? How would the Targaryen Dynasty be affected by his reign? So many questions and answers that will never come.

For my six-part fantasy series, I will be drawing inspiration from Rhaegar for my main character. My main character will represent the ruler Rhaegar could have been. My main character will even have a similar personality to Rhaegar but will have my own twists as well.
