The Carolina Wren Calls The Little Ones Home
When the Carolina Wrens are in the backyard you know it. They have a distinctive call that lets everyone around know. This one did not seem to mind when I stepped out on the back deck to make a few photos of it. I had already had a couple of good sessions with the family so why not one more?
Filling In The Details
I don't often know what the birds are thinking. Sometimes you can tell when they are just hungry and furiously hunting for food, or when a bigger bird scares them. Here in this photo though there could have been many things going on. I chose to think of it as the mother calling the kids home for dinner. It was about that time for lunch so it makes sense. It makes things a little more fun when I have these little backstories as well.
