Decided to hop on my bike and pedal to West Runton in the hope of adding the Short-toed Lark as an NENBC Eco tick. The bird was flitting about in the middle of the drilled field, east of the shelter, on arrival. It eventually flew closer to the coastal path to give much better views that yesterday. The birds overall paleness, size and busy foraging behaviour making it reasonably easy to pick out amongst the host of Linnet and Skylark. An adult winter Mediterranean Gull providing a welcome supporting cast.
