Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.
Distribution: Native to South America, from Bolivia to southern South America; introduced in other parts of the world according to the distribution information provided by the Plants of the World Online portal (Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew).
Habitat: Found usually on disturbed ground- alongside roads, cultivated land, gardens, orchards, in and near settlements.
Flowering period: Late summer – fall: AUG, SEP, OCT, NOV.
