The latest outdoor art show at Flannels on Oxford Street features contemporary artist, Shepard Fairey. He is a street artist, graphic designer, activist, and founder of OBEY Clothing and creative agency Studio Number One.
In 2008, his portrait of then-Democratic candidate Barack Obama became an internationally recognized emblem of hope. Since then, he has painted more than 105 public murals, making him one of the most sought-after and provocative artists in the world. The Peace Guard mural in Lisbon is one of his, and he worked on another well known Lisbon mural with Vhils.
W1 Curates show, corner of Poland Street and Oxford Street, London, August 2021
Below, you can enjoy the illuminated show of some of his work, that I happily came across on an evening walk back to St Pancras last week. Just click on an item in the gallery to see larger and scroll through.
