SSE/OVO - no I don't need a smart meter - I am not one of the sheep.

I have eyes - and Boot's Glasses (sustainable ones) and read my meter as soon as there is a weather change.

I have an Excel / LibreOffice Spreadsheet - which if I want I can get smarter - I can connect a small energy clamp to the outside of the mains on the safe side, have a $2 A-D converter and plot energy use automatically...

or I can use shock horror Google Lens to copy paste the numbers into my online account - far more smarter than any of the rubbish I have been offered

I don't leave my heating on all day. I don't leave my cooker on all day either. My landlord supplied me with ultra low energy bulbs. I keep a diary of what items burn the most and for how long. My hot plates stay hot longer - which means I can turn off the cooker as soon as water is boiling.

I don't waste my money on items that drain power - and I don't need an internet connection or anyone snooping on my daily activities.

Maybe I should invoice you for using my intelligence
