From the moment we are born, there's a relentless passing of time, moving us slowly, day by day, toward old age. Some of us have reached that time of life when the bones and joints hurt, and the hair turns gray, or falls out, when the eyes grow dim and the hearing a bit weaker.
But this time of life is a prime time to impact the next generation. It's a time to retell the stories of God's leading in our life and to pass on the lasting legacy of faith.
Psalm 92 is a song for the Sabbath. And in it, we read: "Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing." Psalm 92:13-14 (NKJV)
The blessings of old age come as a result of being planted in the house of the Lord and spending daily time in communion with Him. Passing on our faith to others will keep us fresh and flourishing.
