One of the most important parts of motivating yourself when trying to become healthier is having rewards to look forward to. I used to be so bad about rewarding myself with food. I would think, "oh! I hit my goal for this week! That means I get ice cream!" But then that just works against your goal. You have to come up with fun goals that will truly motivate you but aren't food related.

Here is my list of rewards that I've come up with for myself. I'm not quite sure what order I'll do these in, but I will probably rank them as I start to see more weight coming off. Maybe do the most expensive or most drastic for the larger goals.

  1. Brand new bras and panties (Years ago I stopped wearing underwear that made me feel sexy. I think its important to make yourself feel attractive just for you, when no one else is looking.)
  2. A new tattoo... possibly a partial arm sleeve (I've always hated my arms because I thought they were gross and jiggly. When I hit a goal where my arms have slimmed and toned up, I want to show them off with some new ink.)
  3. Getting my legs waxed (Yes, I already shave my legs, but I just feel like getting them waxed will be taking my self care to a new level.)
  4. Getting a Brazilian wax (That's right. When I hit one of my goals, I am going to bare all and get things waxed us in the nether regions. lol)
  5. Complete new hair style (I have a certain look that I have always found so cute for a cut and a color to go with it. I don't want to get it done, though, until I hit one of my goals. Yes, I could get it now. I don't have to be thinner to get a hair cut, but its just another treat to push me to keep going.)
  6. Boudoir photo shoot (I think this one will be when I hit my final goal. Of course my husband will enjoy these photos, but they will 100% be for me!)
