Private Companies in Davao Region receive Virtual Trainings on Livelihood Technologies
In response to the impact of COVID-19, an area-wide webinar composed of livelihood technology trainings was conducted on August 24, 2021 via Zoom.
Ms. Cheri May N. Tila, Science Research Specialist II of the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office XI (DOST XI) was the resource speaker of the Livelihood Technology Trainings on Meat Processing and Fabric Conditioner Making. She highlighted the importance of food safety, and the proper blending of the ingredients. The webinar was performed through blended learning modalities to comply with the minimum health protocols.This initiative was realized by the partnership of the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office XI (DOST XI) through Davao City Science and Technology Center and the DOLE-National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB).
With the theme, "Livelihood Initiatives for the Affected Workers and Establishments this time of Pandemic'', the activity was held through the inter-agency collaboration and was participated by several private sectors in Davao Region. It was aimed to support companies and employees affected by the pandemic to provide avenue of potential source of income.
