Determined according to the botanical keys provided in Flora Europaea Vol. 3 (Tutin et al., 1972).

Lifeform: Annual; Therophyte according to the Raunkiær system.

Distribution: Native to Central Europe, Balkan Peninsula and Armenia according to the Euro+Med PlantBase (Marhold, 2011+).

Habitat: Found in grasslands, clearings and on the edges of mixed oak forests at c. 800-900 m altitude.

Flowering period: Spring-early summer (MAY, JUN).
