My take: Life is full of extremes and diversity. Here we see the LORD is seated high above us (hopefully that is not a new revelation) but thank God He regards the lowly. When we intentionaly decrease our self, our pride, our person hood it makes room for Him to increase.
I have heard it said, being humble is not thinking less of youself but rather thinking of yourself less…and others more. Or as the late great Zig Ziglar was found of saying, 'you can get out of life what you want by helping people get what they want'. That certainly goes for God too doesn't? When we focus on Him, He in turn makes greater concern with us.
This Scripture sure seems relevant and practical where as the brother of Jesus wrote
Gotta get down to get up, get down to get up, down to get up again. Spiritual exercise!
So that was fun to write…now the hard part begins…to live it out.
My prayer: Heavenly Father in Heaven above, please have mercy upon me while I am encased in this flesh. Please remember the virus of sin was in me before I was born. The 1st Adam infected all of us. May I remember You made provision to rise out of that. The 2nd Adam cured. Thank you Jesus for sharing Your victory. Your Word says, 'greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world.' Help me live it out loud!
