From Jackson and Washington Park in the south; along Garfield and Western; past Sherman, Gage and McKinley Park; through Douglas, Garfield and Humboldt Parks; then through Logan Square, it offers a great cross section through Chicago. The gilt Statue of the Republic, located in Jackson Park, erected in 1918, is a golden reminder of the 1893 World's Colombian Exposition.
