Friday Morning in the Gallery

Sandi and I arrived yesterday afternoon in Palestine in time for me to do a private watercolor lesson in the gallery. The student was scheduled for a two-hour session, and managed to kick out her 8 x 10" watercolor in an hour!

This is turning out to be a whirlwind of a Friday as Sandi and I help Deanna Frye with the finishing touches of tomorrow's Art Walk. Twenty businesses will take part this time!

Stacy and Wayne

We're sad to announce that Wayne White has been exposed to COVID and is now under 14-day quarantine. He is remaining at home in Missouri. Stacy Campbell is en route to Palestine as I write this and will anchor tonight's Art Talk in The Gallery at Redlands with support from some of our local creative spirits. We'll miss Wayne and his spark and will send plenty of positive vibes his way as we share our experiences tonight.

Tomorrow is our Dogwood Art Festival's monthly Art Walk. Twenty businesses in downtown Palestine will be hosting artists on site to display and sell their work. Some of the artists will be doing live demonstrations as well. The Art Walk will begin at 10 and last till 3:00. Sandi will host visitors to The Gallery at Redlands and one of our artists, Kathy Lamb, will be in the hotel lobby with a display of her work. Deanna Frye will be at Pint and Barrel, Cecilia Bramhall will be at the Co-Ed Shop, and I will be at L&L Shoes. We are all looking forward to this event.
