Hello, hello. I hope you're having a great Saturday!
I just got back from a vacation with my family so I wasn't able to post but I've been doing a lot more reading than before which has been awesome.
I recently finished Cool for the Summer by Dahlia Adler and I'll be writing a review soon. These next few days I'm going to focus on writing all the reviews I'm behind on so make sure you follow me on Goodreads because I won't be posting every one of them on my blog.
So today I'm going to be discussing some books that I love but I've never had the chance to share with you here. I hope you enjoy this list!
See, I know that this series is incredibly popular. And I remember when the finale came out a couple of years ago, everyone and their mother was talking about it and it was kind of overwhelming. However, I still haven't delved into my love for it on my blog so I'm going to take this opportunity to do so
First of all, this book has forbidden romance and it's one of the best things ever - it's so well done because the chemistry between Laia and Elias is PALPABLE through the pages. It's, in my humble opinion, impossible not to ship them
And then, you have the wonderful, vivid Roman inspired setting that just adds a whole other layer of perfection to this story. Plus, there are multiple strong female characters - both mentally and physically strong
Just this title gives me the most magical, wonderland vibes ever
This book is part of an ongoing series whose premise is that there are these children who are lured into magical worlds that are a perfect fit for them. That's the main gist of it, but there's so much more.
The reason I like this installment so much in particular is that you get to explore many magical worlds, including two that are the complete opposite: a super dark, creepy one that I found to be extremely fascinating, and a bubbly, bright one that I know for a fact I would not last more than a day in.
Some other great things in this book are the found family trope and the fact that it's a short and quick read.
I know what you're thinking… "Susana, what is this cover??"
I am aware that this book does not have the most appealing cover of all time and I'll be the first to admit that I fell victim to the old saying and totally judged this book for it. That's why I'm here to beg you to not make the same mistake as me because this novel is A-MA-ZING.
Seriously, Stargirl is one of the best characters I've ever read about - she's so unique and kind and the personification of a ray of sunshine
It's a novel perfect for all ages and it's bound to make your heart all fuzzy and soft
Since I started this blog in April, I never got to talk about how this book was one of my favourites of last year. It was honestly super suprising because Strange the Dreamer wasn't anything to write home about, but this sequel - WOW.
The development of the characters, Lazlo and Sarai's relationship, the dual perspectives that came together in the end and the plot made this a perfect book for me
Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think of them? Let me know in the comments!
