WWW Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Sam at Taking On a World of Words. Three questions, three answers. Let's go!
What did you recently finish reading?
Since I haven't been blogging much, I've actually finished quite a bit since my last WWW post (which was sadly almost a month ago). I finished War Storm by Victoria Aveyard, which finishes up the Red Queen series. There are a few short story/novellas in between the books that were released later, but for a series, I don't usually count those towards completing it. The main books are finished and that's enough for me. I also finished The Program series by reading The Remedy, The Epidemic, The Adjustment, and The Complication, all by Suzanne Young. This series of six is actually three sets of duologies all set in the same universe, just following different sets of characters. They all come together in the final book though, which was actually really cool. This also checks off another book from my "Complete the Series" challenge, which makes me very happy indeed!
Also, that's five books finished up in the past month! Not too shabby for me!
What are you currently reading?
Technically, I am just reading one book - Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I've been working through this GoodReads list of books that I own but haven't read yet (there are 141 books on the list currently - yikes) and this one had been on the list the longest time. I've seen Tahereh Mafi at YallFest for years and never read any of her books, so it's good to finally get to one. I guess I am still sort of reading The Two Towers by J.R.R. Tolkien, but I haven't made any progress on it. Lately, it has just been easier for me to focus on one book at a time. Which isn't like me at all! I used to have several going at once but it's just too much for me right now. Maybe one day when things in my brain settle down.
What do you think you'll read next?
Honestly, the only book I am planning on reading next is the second book in the Shatter Me series, Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. There are six books in this one so I will be working on it for a while. After that, I'm not sure. I might switch over to another series from my "Complete the Series" list since my goal was to read four of those series this year and I'm already done with three. Granted, two of those three were duologies where I only had to read one book to finish it up, but it still counts!
That's it for me this week. Please leave your WWW in comments!
