As you may have seen I recently publish a book! It's small, it's special and I love it. I loved it so much that I made some t-shirts and bags, mostly for me and then at the request of some friend and now all for me.
These are based on the Banshee from the book, and as a special treat for those who read this blog I thought I would tell you a little bit about the Banshee that you migth find in your home.
'It's just the wind' you may have told yourself time and again as you lay away in the night listening to the far off shriek of the banshee in the chimney. It was once thought that their cry foretold of the death of a loved one, but in truth they only cry at night. Those who keep a quiet vigil with a sick loved one therefore came to associate their haunting keening with death. You will know a banshee when you see one as their eyes are always red from their constant weeping. As a result they often shield their eyes or faces. The sound of their keening is said to be one of the saddest sounds the human ear can bear.
