2nd Day of Paxlovid prescription for COVID. Finally improving.

I just wanted to thank my reader friends for all the good will that's been extended to me since I took sick. This is the first day I actually feel good enough to read a book. The inability to focus my eyes on the printed page these past few days has been odious. I'm glad the Paxlovid is working already, yet I'm being cautious, understanding our President has now relapsed after using that same drug. The doctor advised me to quarantine five days, then use a mask in public the next five. Well, I'm not going out into public if I still risk being infectious, requiring a mask. I wore the mask the entire time we were encouraged to do so. And I will wear it again, once I go out. But I'm not going to go out in five days. I'm horrified at the thought of someone taking sick because of me, and wish to God that others would have been so minded before.

We had thought that Sandi had dodged the bullet, being gone before I was diagnosed. But alas, she tested positive this morning, and is now on her way back home. We'll get through this together.

If I continue to improve as I have the past 24 hours, I believe I'll resume painting in the studio, and hopefully have something more positive to share with all of you.
